Co-operative Development Initiative

We believe that co-operatives are the key models for developing the solidarity economy. Co-operatives have played an integral role throughout the history of agriculture and artisan industries. We offer organizational support, administrative development, and capacity building for community centered programs. Take a look at what we have going on below!

Lou Family Farm

The Lou Family Farm and Nursery is a urban permaculture research site focused on regenerative agriculture practices. With 1/5 of an acre in production, this three year old garden has over 30 fruit trees and has produced nearly 50 different agricultural commodities. The fruit forest is home to seven types of pomegranates, three figs, three mulberries, loquat, oranges, lemon, kumquat, white sapote, feijoa, ice cream beans, moringa, surinam cherry, peach, nectarine, apricot, plum, apple, strawberry guava, bay laurel, grapes, bananas, goji berry, poha berries, sugar cane, lemongrass, chayotes, nopales, tree collards, turmeric, galangal, cardamom, lemon balm, zatar, tobacco, and many seasonal vegetables. There are native medicines including sage, ashwaganda, and artemesia.

Santi Sanctuary™

We are in the process of developing a community center focused on holistic health and wellness called Santi Sanctuary. Our staff has over 20 years of experience providing healing arts, including circulatory/Swedish massage, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, reflexology, shiatsu, Thai, and trigger point release therapy. Contact us to learn more about our program.
